  1. I have a pair and love them. perfect for moderate snow routes, good for approach. i loosen them up for the descent once im back on the trail or safer terrain. make sure you wax them up good. they have heel and toe bails for heel and toe bail crampons. stiff sole is nice on steep ice/snow.

  2. I was wondering the same thing. I couldn't reach anyone at the ranger station but here is the road info from 1/04/05.

I know that you could make it a half mile or more past Morrison creek last week. The snowmobilers have been breaking trail up that road.

  3. I'm looking for a new 2005 calendar for my desk. Anyone know of one that has some nice mtn p0rn or climbing pics?

i currently have a clyde butcher (black and white pics, sort of like ansel adams) hung but im getting tired of looking at the mini january 2005 at the bottom......any thoughts?

    thanks

  4. Thanks for all the info. The Ecrin Roc is looking better and better. I really want something that go over a warm hat or be used in 100 degree heat at Smith (although I hear it's not cool to wear a helmet at Smith).

    Thanks again.
