  1. Climbed this one about 5 or 6 weeks ago. Bugs were terrible until you get out of the woods onto the south ridge. From there it's a pretty easy scramble on the ridge to the summit.
  2. If you don't mind driving a bit north, there's some good climbing about 50-60 kms west of Campbell River at Crest Creek Crags. (kinda near where you will be) Over 200 routes on about a dozen different rock faces (mostly moderate stuff and single pitch). Strathcona Outfitters in Campbell River has booklets for about $12 Canadian with route maps and ratings. It's a pretty cool place if you have the time to drive there. Was just there this past weekend.
