Is this your first time climbing Rainier? if so, try climbing Mt. Baker first and get yourself comfortable with managing crevasses. Just a thought!

The new REI plus II looks pretty well designed and not only it is cheap for a 3 1/2 season tent, it is also light weight and besides you really don't want to be up there in the mountain when a big one is heading that way. Trust me, you don't want to be inside your tent when the wind is blowing 75 to 100 mph anyway. Goodluck !

yes you are right It can be reversed but your front bail will just look a little bit funny, but I guess nobody will look at it anyway when you are wearing it. Thanks!

anybody, if you lost one of your black diamond sabretooth crampoon ( right foot ) you might want to sell me your left crampoon coz I lost my left crampoon at Mt. Shasta. I'll pay a decent price for it.
