Is this your first time climbing Rainier? if so, try climbing Mt. Baker first and get yourself comfortable with managing crevasses. Just a thought!

The new REI plus II looks pretty well designed and not only it is cheap for a 3 1/2 season tent, it is also light weight and besides you really don't want to be up there in the mountain when a big one is heading that way. Trust me, you don't want to be inside your tent when the wind is blowing 75 to 100 mph anyway. Goodluck !
