I climed to the 3rd bolt (for real) of pure palm (on top rope) It was awsome. Maybe someday I will lead it. realy challenging.

I stand at the bottom of This Ain't No Disco every time I go to flagstone. I will climb it one day.

Gingersnap was lots of fun at smith (yes on top rope, shut up meanies)

me thinks I climb with ropeguns too much... but then again maybe not [Wink]

oooh I almost forgot there is an unnamed climb at a place I can't tell you about, but would take you to. I made it to the crux on top rope... you might not like it though more of a mixed route than pure sport. Fun though [big Grin]

  4. socialism from the outside looks very person friendly. And I will agree to a certin extent that they in england, as an example, manage some things very well. For the AVERAGE person it works out okay that they can get in to a dr. when they have the flu or what ever. But as I have elderly actual relatives that live there, it is not always the case when the medical problem is more extream. I am not a DR. nor am I a political expert... but I do know that a family member of mine would benafit from having a medical procedure, but they will not do said proceedure until he quits smoking (I think). so yes you get services offered, but you have to play there game, do it there way, and folllow there rules. I PERSONALY HATE BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT> I don't think I would have a whole lot of luck in that type of system. red tape sucks, and it seems to me that the scialist system generates even MORE (if that is possible) than ours does. I Realy believe that there should be about three laws. [Roll Eyes] simple is good [big Grin]

  8. I don't think there is any such thing as a level playing field. and the more that we as americans buy into this "idea" the more we "dumb down" the next generation. There is no such thing as fare. there is no way to make yourself sucessful in this world without being very competative. I am not saying this is "right" or "ideal" but it is true. so for instance, the more we take the compation out of childrens sports, and make it so "no one feels bad" because they don't keep score etc. the more harm we are doing our children. If they do not learn how to loose gracfully, how to accecpt when they are beaten fare and square how can they know what it is like to truly succeed? they are doing the same thing in class rooms. They make the work too easy so that the slower children don't feel bad about themselves. Okay I think I might be done ranting now [big Grin]

  9. sexey, I hate to point this little thing out to you but it was not poor people who were writing our constitution. It was insainly wealthy land owners. And they ment "all men are created equal" as in MEN not women not people of diffrent colours. they ment themeslves. Capitalism is not based on a humanatarian ideal. CAPATALISM means by the money. Rich get richer poor get pooer. Sure there are amazing exceptions to that rule... and yes it is the best system out there and I would rather live in this country (where I can shoot my mouth off with out getting shot [Wink] ) than any place else in the world. But we are not perfect. there is room for growth and change. But that will not happen. Because rich people don't want it to change and yes... they have MOST of the power.

  10. I don't know about anywhere else but there are verry few running mills here anymore. The Majority of the loggers that were still logging in the small comunity that I grew up in have not been logging since the mid 80's. frankly I don't know what else people would have to give up. Let them become FARMERS!!! [big Grin]

and i think all lobbying wheter it be from enviro or industry is a sick fucking joke....lobbyiests serve one thing, their deisre for power....power equals money.....we as individuals are near powerless in situations such as this...our voice is muffled by industry/special interests dollars....democrats and repubs make me sick.....and the whole political system in general is weak and poisend.....these (our) elected officials do not listen to the layman constituant no matter what political party you belong too....both repubs and demos are whores.

they listen to what gets thier attention most, power. until we the people can come up with a way to stop this whoring of our elected officals, things like this and fee demo will continue. obviously our elected officals are not too interested in doiong this on their own(hard to pull your hand from the candy basket).

i say we should thin the congress and the senate!

    Amen

  12. I think my skull just cracked open and my brains are now seeping onto the floor. This argument is about as solvable as trad vs. sporto. the war on drugs and the problem of poverty.

    what sk thinks she know:

they keep cutting old growth because 2nd and 3rd growth trees are only good for making paper and press board.

    what sk wants to believe:

again I will go out on one of my favorite limbs... leagalize hemp...canibis etc. in all forms and the pnw will be saved. nice cash crop... and you can make paper and press board rom the material. Still does not solve the problem of good quality wood to build things with, but it is a start.
