If it rid us of the last remaining Ford Pintos and AMC Pacers I'm all for it !

I got a McHale last year for a price I could have gotten 2 or 3 other brands for. I took a day off work, drove up to have Dan show me the packs and take measurements, then I forked out a whole lotta cash. A few weeks later got the pack in the mail. I am glad I did. Sure, some of the price difference is because it is not made in a 3rd world country (not that there is anything wrong with that) but the quality is the main reason for the price diff. It is comfortable and bomber. BTW I got the Wild Things Andinista and it is not a bad pack, but agree with the others it probably is not worth the price.

I have done this in late season and didn't care much for it. My opinion is that is should only be done as a descent from another route... ie; Adams Glacier, etc. BTW, no crevasses on the summit cap.

I just bough a pair. I'm size 12.5 US and these are releatively nimble, especially compared to the Invernos. Haven't taken them out of the house yet, but I have flat arches and these have a raised arch which presents a conflict with my foot. I'm working to adjust the footbed, but won't really know if this works until a full day of climbing. -spacely

Had this problem with some old Asolo rentals I bought for $35. I had some winshield sealer from a windshield shop. It looks like black licorice about 3/8" diameter. Put it between the tongue and the boot and seems to work well. I tried other weather-stripping materials but they always came off. BTW, just bought some Scarpa Alphas and looks like the tongue design isn't very good and may need to seal them up too. -spacely
