  2. Looking for a partner. Vantage is a distinct possibility, but Darrington and all that granite beckons as well. Anyone got an itch for some multi-pitch stuff up there? I'd likely head up tomorrow night and camp out for an early start on the Green Giant or 3 o'clock.

  3. Speaking of the cozy megatropolis that is D-town,,, Anyone going up there this Saturday? I will be in the area and might try to sneak in a few pitches in the early AM. I'll have my gear with me, so if it's a last minute decision to head up there you can catch me on my cell. 425.922.1719

  4. Marmot Mountainworks in Bellevue has 'em. They're just around the corner. Right now though, all they have is a 41.5 and a 42 in stock. The sales dude said they could get others in if you need them.

  5. The restaurant/lounge on Main, right off the Mountain Loop highway has better burgers and fries at a better price though. [Wink] It's right on the way back from Three o'clock rock too.

  6. Hey all,

I'm heading up to Darrington about mid-day on Friday and plan to climb that evening and all day Saturday. Any takers? Don't worry if you don't have gear. I've got enough for whatever we'd be doing.

So if you want to go, just pm me and we'll set something up.

  7. Hey all,

I've heard the whispers and the rumors, and now I want to find out who all would like to get together in D-town for a "late spring/early summer" rope-up near some excellent granite climbing. There is a decent amount of area just up the road from the Three-o'clock rock area for camping/parking.

Who all would be interested in getting together to climb all day and then tip back a few cold ones and tell highly inflated tales of all the sick moves they made that day? Maybe even do some trail maintenance where required.

  8. Hot Day tip #4:

Climb really hard in the boiling sun, rip up your fingers pretty good for your next day's climbing trip [Wink] , suck down some am/pm dogs 'n drinks, then go check out a little league game. (They're better than the M's anyhow.)

Oh yeah, don't forget the 40's and AK's either.

  9. Hey all,

I'm about to get a job and need to get out again. I'm planning on taking off early Thursday morning but will have to be back in Snohomish by 6:30 or so. No overnighter then I guess. Total bummer. I still want to climb tomorrow so let me know. Any takers?

    Possible destinations???

    Darrington

    Leavenworth

Squamish and Vantage are now out due to what's come up.

Anybody drooling yet? C'mon, you know you wanna climb.
