I don't know if I'd neccessarily blame it on a rock climber. Many of us have been the victims of quickdraw theft at the Creek. As I recall, many of the draws were removed with the assistance of a large branch(ie set the branch against the wall and climb up it). Obviously, only the first few draws were stolen. A similar means could have been used in this case (by one of those non-climber types), as it was only the first bolt.

I was told this info. by a reliable source in passing. THe Idaho guide is by some guy that lives in sandpoint. . . his name did not ring a bell with me and I don't remember it. I believe they said it was being published in sandpoint as well. This is all I know.

FYI: A new guidebook is in the mix for N. Idaho as well as central Montana, Oh ya, don't foget Rick Labelle's central WA book should be out within the month . . .we hope!

I just did Iconoclast for the 1st time a few days ago. If anyone cares . . . every pitch has fixed anchors and could easily be rapped to the ground. It could probably be done with a single 60m although I'm not sure about the last rap off 1 tree ledge. The only catch would be finding a fixed anchor at the top of SC wall to link up with Iconoclast. We scouted but found nothing other than the trees set way back.

Whats the deal with the new fixed ladder rungs on the walk-up path at the Post Wall? I sincerely hope this was not the work of a "climber". There's no need for this kind of Crap!!! If you can't make it up the juggy 3 foot boulder . . . WALK AROUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard rumors of rap anchors near the top-out on outer space that supposedly link to the base, is this true and if so can anybody clue me in as to where they are? I've always walked off, but I want to link up some routes for training.

copper is in! was there on 1/8/05. spouting on left side but climbable on right. The upper pitch is thin with water flowing inside; It is doable though.

i was out at vantage today and witnessed a recovery effort of an individual, presumed dead. Supposedly this occurred near the Sunshine Wall. Not sure if it was a climber or not. Any news on this matter?

I am selling my black diamond carbon fiber black prophets for $300.00. They have only been used on two weekend trips to Banff. They are in near perfect condition. Both tools are hammers. I also have some BD x-15 ice tools that I would be willing to part with for $150.00. They are both bent shaft with hammers and leashes. These tools are also in excellent shape and have only been used one season. I also have an Absolute Zero parka size lg that has never been used for $450.00 as well as a 5th dimension stormlight long sleeping bag for $200.00 its only been used on several weekend trips and has never been stuffed in a compression sack. Thanks for all the beta. I was especially curious about the new book becuase so many friends head for the area but can't seem to find the present guide. Naturally, I loan my copy out to others so it has seen some serious use. Oh well, if it isn't out yet I guess I will keep on letting others use my book. I did not know about the Website regarding new routes, thanks for that info too!
