  1. please say that you got all over that line. ...and where is this?
  2. 25cm new snow over night. some wind loading on north, northeast aspects. a lot of people out but not many in the alpine. I hooked on with a group of 3 from Calgary and toured up Balu Pass. Pits revealed storm snow instabilities and an easy shear at 40cm with the new load. Ski'd low angle aspects from the pass, with heavier density snow really making it slow. Bailed after 3 trips up and saw a pretty large slide path that had release and slid through the trail up. Lots of people standing around clueless to upslope hazards.
  3. Yesterday = Asulkan pass. Today, rest the legs, watch the snow pile up, and get new liners in Revelstoke. Tomorrow. 15cm of new. More to follow.
  4. Doesn't even begin to capture how sick it is up here.
  5. 12.4.2008 Checked out the Asulkan area today. Skinned up to the hut, ate lunch, and continued to the slopes above the hut. At around 3pm the skies got dark and the clouds rolled in from the north. 8,000 ft was the turn around for me and it was a fantastic 3000 ft run back down to the valley. none of the icy death luge runout that Balu had. great day for skiing in the Roger's Pass area(again).
  6. Trip: Roger's Pass - Date: 12/3/2008 Trip Report: Balu Pass to 8812 bowl, ridge, and environs. Super stable snow pack allowed for aggressive turns. oh, and Canadians are friendly folk. Haven't skied alone yet.
  7. The skiing is good at Roger's Pass. Why climb when you can ski?

  9. Thanks for everyone's interest. I got a overwhelming response, and some great applicants. No longer in need of help. Thank you.
  10. We are a Rope Access Fiberglass Repair company but certainly not limited to rope work or fiberglass. I am looking for good people who have rope skills, a good head at 250ft off the ground, and good attitudes. Bonus, if you have fiberglass knowledge, construction experience or similar trade skills. Extra bonus if you climb, ski, enjoy adult drinks, and childish humor!
  11. Circumcised Chair Peak this morning - it was bit of a butchering early on, but once I found my groove, things sliced up nicely. Beautiful conditions, as there was a few inches of new snow, clear weather and relatively cool temps early on. This was my first foray into the Snoqualmie backcountry, and I must admit that I like your playground. Something tells me I shouldn't be here... Good snow at early light Down to Snow Lake Friendly Going Home Thank you Sir
  12. Scarpa F1 boot, size 27. Liners were cooked once, but never skied in the boots. $300
