Kit
Trip: Whitehorse - Niederprum/Northwest Date: 5/26/2007 Trip Report: The snow was very soft but not tooo sloppy. We left the car at 7am. The trail has some blowdown of course but is generally in good shape to the snowline. It pays to try to stick to the trail in the timber on the right near snowline rather than head up the snow-and-devils-club-gully. The weather was good except for fog above high pass, near where we passed a group of 11 mountaineers. The moat just below the summit is still passable on the left side. We roped up to cross it, but didn't really need to. We shared the summit with all of the mountaineers at about 1:30, and returned to the car by 6. All in all a great day out on a magnificent mountain. Gear Notes: Ice axe, rope. Brought crampons but didn't need 'em. KaskadskyjKozak
stupid except for the nice boot path you got to follow until just below high pass?

EV
Just curious, but how long did it take you to summit from Lone Tree Pass, and how long back to your car?
KaskadskyjKozak
Sorry its not stupid. It's OK. I prefer party sizes of 3-4 myself. At least there were only 14 people on route the whole day, eh? 2 weeks ago I went to St. Helens with a friend. Party size = 2. There were 300 people on the friggin' mountain that day.
