Mike Pond Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Get ready for winter! The mountain passes are getting cold, and it's time to get geared up for ice and snow! Please text at 914-584-ate too five sicks. cc messages don't seem to get to me quickly. Or email at mike.pond (at) gmail. I live in Leavenworth. If you're in town we can meet most any day, or I am sometimes in Bellingham or Seattle, too. 2 Black Diamond Cobra ice axes - Hammers - very light use -These are just awesome axes. Carbon fiber shafts, swing great on ice, pull down well on mixed. Great in the alpine. -Condition: I have used these less than 10 days out, the majority of which were just carried on the pack. As a result, there is very superficial scuffing on the shafts and superficial rust on the head screw. These are like new, especially for the (lack of) impacts they've had, and pitches climbed. - $500 for pair Petzl Aztar Ice Axe - Used. The pick is well worn but it is very structurally sound. Has many days left in its life of awesome alpinism. - This is such a great all-around ice tool! It climbs ice well, and is light enough to take as an alpine, mountaineering, or skiing axe. I have loved using this guy on the NW's alpine routes. - $100 Black Diamond Anarchist Avalung Pack -15 days of use, all light skiing. This pack has very many days ahead of it, with you riding the best winter has to bring. It's big enough for an overnight, but dexterous for single-day touring. - $175 Julbo Zebra Glacier Glasses -Photochromatic -Gold/yellow tint - with case -Awesome for all kinds of activities: skiing, mountain/alpine climbing, alititude -Very light use. I have tried them on, brought them on a trip where they stayed in the tent the whole time. They didn't fit my weirdly-shaped head. - $100 Quote
