kevino Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) Trip: Thanksgiving in the Park - Date: 11/29/2013 Trip Report: I have been somewhat fixated on doing alpine ice routes in the Glacier National Park since I received by clinical rotation placement in Kalispell. I got a little taste of early season ice action back in October, however school and big snow dump have kept me busy through much of november. Thankfully things started to align for some climbing this past week. David drove out from WA and it was game on. We got in two days of climbing (~2500 ft of ice) and one day of taking the ice tools for a walk. Quick picture summary below: Always fun approach shenanigans and occasional deep snow: Which lead to great views: And good climbing: And stimulating descents Couple more climbing shots: Gear Notes: Me doing my best Ben Stiller impression: "Bring me something a little deeper" Also, NWALPINE, if you need a new picture to advertise your spider light hoody....
