Climbing Partner/Skills Trade Needed

Hi,

 

I'm looking for climbing partners who are multi-sport oriented. Specifically I am trained as an AMGA Rock Instructor who has been climbing and teaching for 7 years. I've got around 800 days of rock experience climbing up to 5.12 trad (not my current desire) and sport and I'm looking for local partners who would be capable of following/leading 5.9/5.10 multipitch trad/sport or have the equipment and desire to get there. I'd like to climb Smith Rock and Leavenworth to get to know you with an eye on trips to Squamish, Grand Tetons, Tuolumne Meadows and Red Rocks for the future.

 

I am also learning the basics of mountaineering and splitboarding right now. I've climbed Hood and felt strong but know that my desire is to do more ski mountaineering (chasing backcountry powder) in the future where avalanche terrain is a very serious obstacle in my mind. An ideal climbing partner for me would be someone who is solid in the skills I need and willing to share or trade them for the rock skills I have.

 

Right now I have a lot of time off and will be transitioning to a new schedule mid/late July where I would be working the standard M-F or a Tuesday-Tuesday 8 days on 6 days off schedule.

 

Living in Portland and bouldering at the circuit a lot when I'm not at Smith Rock. Please message me if you'd like to meet up for a gym session and a brew to get to know each other and plan some time on the rock.
