WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Partner(s) Needed This Weekend and Beyond

Recommended Posts

I’m looking for a climbing partner(s) for this weekend and beyond. I’m based in Portland and would like to get up on Hood this weekend – Leutholds Couloir conditions permitting? Or over to Smith. I’m also open to suggestions…

Beyond this weekend – I want to get out on some rock/alpine climbs this spring and summer. I’m recently back to climbing after nearly a year off. I’m 42 and have been climbing since my mid 20’s. I have led up to 5.10 trad and expect to be back at that level by late summer. Lead 5.8 trad right now. I have a reasonably complete trad rack and alpine/ice gear.

Partial list of what I’ve done:

Numerous trad & sport routes in Leavenworth, Vantage, Mazama, Smith, Squamish

West Ridge of Forbidden

N. Ridge of Baker

Rainier Summits X 3

Serpentine Arete Dragontail Peak

Cooper Spur – solo up and down.

Partial list of what I’d like to do:

More trad & sport routes in Leavenworth, Vantage, Mazama, Smith, Squamish

Sandy Glacier Headwall and/or Leutholds on Hood

N. Face of Buckner

Mt. Shuksan Fisher Chimneys

Mt Adams Glacier

Liberty Ridge

Prusik Peak

Grade III rock climbs…

Road trip to City of Rocks and Red Rocks later in the year

I’m a safe, fun, easy going person and very motivated to get out climbing this year. I have a fair amount of water ice experience and I backcountry ski – (Avy 1 cert). I’m also looking for mid-week evenings climbing partner for the PRG in Portland.

If interested please PM me or shoot me a note at zekefunf@hotmail.com

Jeff

Bump...

Looking to get out on some rock this weekend. I was supposed to go to Squamish but that has been postponed due to rain. Anyone looking for a climbing partner?
