TIeton River Access Spring 2013

Anyone know the current Tieton River access? Usually the area is closed Feb 1 through April or July for falcon nesting. Last year, the falcons were downstream so we could still climb. No new info on the WCC page: http://www.washingtonclimbers.org/Climbing/tieton.htm. I'm wondering if the birds are downstream again? Or are the areas closed as usual? Anybody been over there?

you should talk to fish and game down there about this. they will know better.

Have not been that way this year, but in the past its only been closed from Royal columns to just east of Moon rocks. Never seen the north side of the road shut down. I hope they haven't expanded the prenesting closure area.

Update from Fish and Game: Tieton climbing area is open (Except for "The Bend" climbing area, which has a golden eagle nest and it should be clearly marked).
