dog Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 I just read that the Park Service is proposing to raise the climbing fee at Rainier from $15 to $30. For more on this go to http://www.nps.gov/mora/climb/costrecovery.htm Quote
climb Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 A hearing to garner public input on a new operational plan for climbing Mt. Rainier will be held Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at The Mountaineers headquarters. The plan proposes an increase in the mountaineering cost recovery fee (i.e., the climbing fee) to a total of $30, twice the amount of the previous fee. A hearing will also be held in Tacoma at the Washington State History Museum on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The proposal can be viewed at http://www.nps.gov/mora/climb/costrecovery. Comments can also be sent via the internet at mora_climbing_fees@nps.gov and will be accepted through Jan. 22. Quote
