Fromage Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Eddie, can I have $100 to climb the REI Pinnacle? Or to put up a new route on the south face of The Tooth? Sorry, couldn't resist. In all seriousness, it's a great opportunity and thanks for sharing the announcement here. It would be cool if you could post some examples of past recipients. Quote
AAC-PNW Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 REI Pinnacle or the Tooth? Depends... This is the first year of this particular grant and the idea is driven by the AAC's mission to get back to serving the local climber. Each region around the country has their own grant money to award folks who demonstrate vision and a compelling enough story to receive awards from $300 to $500 in order to make it happen. Quote
EastCoastBastard Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I applied, but in the Northeast section. Quote
alpine et Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 It would be great to see the applications, or at least the notable ones that the committee had to really dig into before making a decision. Sounds like a great thing I'd like to apply to in the future, but would love to see how others envision using it... Quote
