air2mud Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 All, Having just moved near the Austrian Alps from a very non-climbing region in the Southeast US, I am able to get into some true Alpine climbs starting this spring. I am now pieceing my equipment together and of course, trying to save where I can. I already have an OR Foray Pac-lite jacket that is my current rain-shell. What do you think about that as my hardshell for over my puffy when the weather is wet? I have my eye on a Patagonia M10 for a decent price, but if my OR is good enough, I can turn that money into footwear. Also, any rec's on a puffy for the Alps would be appreciated. I'll probably end up in Colorado or Seattle area within a 2-3 years, so I'd like to find one that I can continue it's use there. Cheers, Mike Quote
