Richs101 Posted July 5, 2011 Share Posted July 5, 2011 Anyone been up El Picacho Del Diablo in the last few years I climbed it in 1956 with Bud Bernhard up EL media canyon, 2 days to summit. Then in 1960 up canyon Diablo 2 days to Cedar Camp , then to the summit and back in a day. We took a level up to check the 2 summits as to which was higher.The north summit was 3 feet higher.This is a great wilderness area. Off_White Posted July 5, 2011 Share Posted July 5, 2011 The Sierra San Pedro Martir is a pretty cool area, but I haven't been there in a long long time, and I only looked at Diablo from the rim of the plateau. I've always thought it seemed like a great mountaineering outing, it must have been super adventurous in 56 and 60. Got any pictures from then?
