EricN Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I’m looking for a safe and experienced climber that, hopefully, is in need of a regular partner. I am definitely still a beginner but I have learned a lot since I have started climbing. Over the last few months I have attended formal classes covering movement, belaying, rappelling, and other basic skills. This past weekend, I attended a two day seminar that included 16 hours of one-on-one instruction consisting of anchor construction, grigri’s, and basically everything needed to set out on our own TR’ing trips. Most of my experience has been with indoor bouldering where I am fairly consistently sending V2’s and working some V3’s. I have done enough top roping indoors to be comfortable belaying safely with multiple devices. My first ever trip to the crag was this last weekend (Broughton), where I sent a 5.10 followed by a 5.9 which I was quite proud of. Neither of those routes seemed like they were really out of my ability so my hope is that I will be able to consistently climb at that level. Eventually, I want to gain the skills needed to start leading climbs, and someday even tackle trad climbing, so if you’re already doing these things I’m definitely interested in learning from you and cleaning routes. Also, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule this summer and I own everything I should need for climbing, minus a rope. If there's anything else you'd like to know shoot me a message. Quote
