I'm looking for a new pair and while I have used the older Everest, formally One Sport, have never really used the new Millet design and am looking for anyone who may have experience or knowledge of how the two compare other than the weight.

Velcro closure on the inner boot of the Millet is very easy to use, a key feature when your hands are numb/it's 3am/you have gloves on.

Millets are also warmer than Olympus Mons.

You might also check out the Scarpa Phantom 8000s.

A friend of mine bought some Olympus Mons, sized them extra big, then swapped the stock liner with an Intuition liner. He summited Everest (not on account of the boots) and came home with all his toes (boots likely a contributing factor).

I too have had several friends summit the big E with both the Oly Mons and the Millet however no one really has much input on the other brand to compare and I can't find anyone who stocks both.

I know the soles on the Oly Mons are butter and wear fast, are soft and maybe questionable with a step in crampon, but I'm also wondering about the usage of the inner out of the outer as a tent bootie and how they hold up.

There has to be someone who has used both or has compared both first hand.
