Best helens weather reports?

Newbie climbing helens in a month. Thoughts on best resource for weather expectations? Would we need ice axes in mid August?

Call the rangers station. Bring the axe for the last bit to the crater rim; there might be a little ice left up there. And if there is, it is not going to be stable. STAY OFF THE CORNICES!! If you go into the crater, you won't come out.

 

Mid August = slog over wormy lava flows.

Thanks for the info. I have my permits, and I climbed it once before, 4 years ago. Just seeing if conditions would be similar this go around.
