Gardner Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Taking a friend of mine up Hood this Thursday and Friday. Will leave Seattle at 6 AM and stop at REI down in Clackamas, meet up with him there and go to Timberline. From there we'll hike up to about 9000 ft and set up camp, review some things, melt snow and eat. After a few hours of sleep we'll head to the summit around 2 AM. If weather is bad, we may stay an extra night although not really wanting to. Hope to be back by Friday afternoon/evening. Looking for a partner to join us - I've climbed Rainier, Adams, Baker, Glacier Peak and Munku-Sardik in Siberia. Real comfortable on my own but my buddy is a newbie (no glacier travel but has climbing experience). Would prefer one other experienced climber.
