skuehn Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 We're planning a non-technical backcountry trip to easy ridge (via hannegan pass). i'm wondering about accessing the brush creek basin from the south side of easy ridge just west of whatcom peak. Will that go without axes, crampons and/or raps? We're looking to avoid backtracking to the western end of Easy Ridge to access the Whatcom Pass area. Thanks!! Quote
Lowell_Skoog Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 View in a dry winter: http://www.pbase.com/nolock/image/40373880 I'd be reluctant to bet my trip on getting down the north side of that ridge without at least an ice axe. It seems like that section has a good chance of getting you out of the "non-technical" category. Quote
