On March 6th my friends and I summited Mt. Hood. We got back to the Timberline parking lot at 2pm after a long climb. Due to the general tiredness and anxiousness to get back home, I mistakenly left my ice axe and shovel leaning up against the barrier near the Wy'East Day Lodge. The ice axe has a yellow shaft with the writing of "REI Mountain Axe" on the shaft and has a homemade gray webbing leash. The shovel is red and has wood handle, however I can't remember the brand. It is collapsible and is one of a kind. Both of these were family heirlooms and really mean a lot to me; ice axe from my Dad when he used to climb and shovel from my uncle who used to be a volunteer with PMR. The value of these to me is irreplaceable, so ANY information regarding where these may be would be greatly appreciated. So has anybody seen these at some point?

Bummer dude. I summited the same day, but was back to the car by 11:30 am. Check with the lost and found at the lodge. Sometimes stuff gets brought there. Sorry about your loss.
