sgraepel Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Does anybody have beta on Goodell Creek conditions? Sweepers, precipitously small, rocky and overgrown with brush, open with sandy bars etc...I'm entertaining the idea of dropping off Picket pass to the West, catching the creek and floating it back to the HWY. clintcummins Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I heard in the 70s it was a very tough bushwhack. Slide alder, less than one mile progress in a full day. Probably this has not changed. Quote
wayne Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Just to clarify, You are taking a kayak or an inner-tube, on a Picket cross-country type route, or Traverse? What is the start point of your adventure? The river looks tame-ish for the first 5-10 miles, though expect many downed trees, shallows , brush and it will be very low water table. Please tell more of your plans, Thanks! Quote
Milosh Antonopov Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 the brushes here are very deep and htick. the waters is also very cold! you must say how this goes. perhasp it will be the new way? Quote
