Dustin_B Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) New Black Diamond Verdict skis (this year's blue ones, 190 cm length, 136-102-122 mm) predrilled for Marker Duke bindings for sale for $300. Tried skiing them on the groomers for 3 runs and I simply couldn't ski them. They are too much ski for me. They are stiff, hard charging, and likes big turns. I had the edges slightly detuned in a shop to release from turns a bit easier as they come stock with a pretty aggressive edge for such a big ski. However you could easily return these to stock specs if desired. Other than the mounting holes they are pristine. Have pictures, can send. Thanks. Dustin Edited February 22, 2009 by Dustin_B Quote
pindude Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Too bad they didn't work out for you, Dustin. Contrary to BD's description of them as an all-around ski, I think they're not good on the groomers. Rather, they're a superb powder/crud ski, and excel in off-piste conditions. It's also rather stiff: I'm at 210 lbs., and much prefer the 180 over the 190. This ski at $350 will be a good deal for somebody. Quote
