jrwiener Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Looking for a climbing partner (or several) to climb Mt. Hood this w/e. I am a relative beginner mountaineer. I just climbed Rainier last week and summited on my first attempt (with RMI). I have all the gear (except rope) so I am ready to rope into someone's line. I am happy to rely on someone else's expertise. I can provide transportation from PDX to Mt. Hood. Jason Quote

wrigleyd Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I'm game too. I'm would be coming down from near Seattle and would prefer to plan the push for the summit Sunday morning. Either from the parking lot near the lodge or from the top of Palmer, whatever suits you better. The key would be to be early, first, and fast to get out of the rockfall zones before people with tennis shoes and garden gloves start kicking everything loose on us.
