Camping @ St. Helens

Hey everyone,

I've a few permits to climb St. Helens on July 19. I am new to the mountain. I've done a lot of hiking at Rainier but not St. Helens. Can you camp at Marble Mtn? If not, where is a good place to camp before heading up? Thanks,

You can camp at Marble Mountain. There appeared to be several places in the woods around the parking lot to set up tents, although when I was up there on the 4th I just slept in my car. If you want to go up a ways there is a nice clearing east of Chocolate Falls that I saw some people using for a campsite.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm gettting a late start on the 18th so I'll probably just stay at Marble Mountain.
