racsom Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) Anyone been up to the brothers yet? Any special conditions? access? Any help would be appreciated. Edited May 20, 2008 by racsom Quote
dmarch Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 You might try doing a search on NWhikers.net or WTA.org for Lena Lake or the Brothers. Sounds like the trail is snow free to lower lena lake right now. No problems/special concerns I can think of up there. Have fun! Quote
woodchips Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I think this is a great time of year to go up there; when I did it in october, it was all scree and brush on the approach and rockfall in the final couloir. I couldn't find a summit register for the south summit, but I'm pretty sure we found the right spot. Quote
iclimb76 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I did an attempt a few weeks ago. The trail to Lena is clear of snow and blow downs. From Lena to base camp is a much different story. There are quite a few blow downs and about 6' of snow at camp. I'm sure there is less snow by now but the down trees won't be gone. We got turned around by weather and avy danger at 5,400' on our climb. hopefully conditions will be better for you when you go. good luck Quote
