Hello , my name is Mike. I am looking for two to three guys or gals that would like to climb Denali in 2010. I am a cancer survivior raiseing money for the Make A Wish Foundation. I will be attempting to climb the seven summits and the 14 peaks above 8000m. My goal is to raise one dollar for every foot of elevation gained. Denali will be my first on the list. I have have been going after sponsers for the past couple of months and i will be attending a 7 day mountaineering school in Calif, and a 10 day one in Alsaska and in April of 2009 i will be attending a 24 day mountaineering leadership course in Alaska. I will be putting every thing together for the climb , making all of the arangements and what not. I will be looking for two to three folks who are serious, this is a lofty goal and potential climbers will have to provide all of there own personal gear, food , transpertation and what not. I will have my web site up at the end of the year. If any one thinks they might be interested in climbing leave a post here and we can talk. I am useing this year to get my initial training, i will have climbed , Mt Whitny, Shasta, Boundery Peak, Rainer, Baker and what ever my three mountaineering schools throw at me. I belive this will give be a good foundation for Denali in 2010 and will give potential folks who might want to join me a good two years head start for getting in shape and saving up money. I just got a pro sponsership from a climbing company today. They were gracious enogh to help me out for my cause and i will go into funderaiseing mode in 2009 for the climb, with any luck i will meet my goals and get some sponsers to help with gear that is needed for the two or three of you out there that might like to share in this, the first of many mountains for my Campigen Surviving the Climb. Thank you for your time, and have a great climbing year.
