DBP Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 (edited) Trip: Tam McArthur Rim - Date: 1/27/2008 Trip Report: Good trip on Sunday with 15+ new. Want to throw a heads up out there. Propagated a decent slide on a 35-40 degree slope. No injuries nobody entraped. Triggered slide sympathetically from above. Crown 12-18 inches 100-150 ft wide. Ran on wind crust with obvious surface hoar from our really cold snap. Just a heads up for those playing out there. Remaining cold temps are gonna slow stabalization of the new snow so I would expect on unsheltered slopes to see a few more naturals and/or skier triggered slides. Test it before you slay it. warrior1515 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Glad to hear that everyone was ok. Our Avy I class was out at Vista Butte Sat and Sun digging pits. Definitely saw plenty of instability with moderate energy in the snow. Quote
