Jamie Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I guess the Olympic NP isn't the Cascades, but I thought I would ask anyway. Has anyone done Rocky Peak on East end of Klahhane Ridge? The Olympic Mountains Climbing Guide says there are two prominent notches and obvious greenish rock formations. (on the south side of the mt.) We spent a number of hours looking for greenish rock formations on the south side of the peak today and found nothing. Also, on the convoluted ridge above it was hard to tell which were the prominent notches. Has anyone done this route? Can you describe it better? Was it class 3? We ventured up a couple of gullies a ways, but they were not class 3 and looked much more difficult above us. Quote
