vertical_world Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Head Routesetter Responsibilities: • Manage and train volunteer routesetters • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including conflict management skills, and experience dealing with challenging customer situations. • Take weekly route inventory • Keep detailed account of what needs to be stripped and set and communicate route needs with volunteer setters • Meet weekly with gym manager to discuss route plan • Work with manager to put together a monthly order for holds within a set budget • Quality control-set-up a system of testing routes to ensure accurate rating • Set quality routes in a timely manner • Wall and equipment maintenance • Ensure a safe work and business environment • Know and enforce all Vertical Worlds policies Desired Qualifications: • Experience climbing both indoors and outdoors in varied settings • Experience lead climbing • Preferred-experience setting routes. Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Preferred-experience managing or organizing volunteers • Solid communication and organizational skills • Current CPR and first-aid certification Commitment and Compensation: • Head Routesetter position is 25 hours per week. There is opportunity to take on additional hours doing the following: working the front desk, running programs, & teaching If more hours are desired, the more flexible an employee can be, the more they will be able to take on where they are appropriately qualified. • Pay is dependant on experience.
