jmacrae Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) I am flying in from Minnesota on Friday to go get alittle bugaboos action in, however I have this weekend before I go free with no partner. I am open for anything however I would love to go do some moderate alpine objective. I am currently trading 5.7 quickly and seconding 5.9 quickly and can easily pull some 10's for sort bits. Technically I am not the greatest climber, I am however safe, decent with rescue and have been instructing wilderness courses in the mountains and other environments for 4 years now and have a good head on my shoulder. If anyone is up for alittle rock action any of these days let me know. Judd MacRae juddmacrae@gmail.com Edited July 5, 2007 by jmacrae Quote
NYC007 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 FYI: this is from the CA guides assoc..: Hi, Conditions are quickly improving in the Bugs with the recent nice weather. The snow is only patchy below the hut now and is melting fast on the moraine crests above. Travel on snow is generally good with ankle deep penetration in the afternoon except around rocks and wet areas. People are starting to venture out bit more and the NE ridge saw an ascent today although I have not heard what the conditions were like. There is still snow on a lot of the routes but it sounds like it is manageable on the Kain route on Bugaboo. See attached photo for general conditions. There is still active logging below the 21km so drive slow, take the corners tight and keep your headlights on. Cheers, Marc Pich? Mountain Guide -------------- next part Quote
