Anybody have any beta on access this time of year, either from the south (is the road open past bachelor?) or from the north. Is there a snow park to the north that would allow for a winter approach?

No current beta on conditions for you- but I do know the road past Mt. Bachelor doesn't open until around Memorial Day. 5 miles or so the South Sister Trail Head. Broken Top can be accessed from the Dutchman's Flat snopark at the end of the road at Mt. Bachelor. I plan on a South Sister ski by the end of April and will post a TR when complete.

The South approach is the closest until the road to Three Creeks Lake is open after May 1st. For a winter ascent, Dutchman Flat Snowpark is your closest parking. You can hire a snowcat from Elk Lake Lodge to get in pretty close, but it's spendy, and since it's only about 5-7 miles from Dutchman Flat, you'd be better off just bringing skins.
