miladugga Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Anybody interested in Exit 32 or 38 on Thursday? The weather looks pretty good. I'm 49, comfortable leading 10 b/c, don't mind putting up easier or trying harder, it would be my first time out of the gym this year (whoo hoo!) I've got a rope, rack, and car. I'd be coming from Olympia, but I can swing through Seattle if you need a ride. I'd like to get there by 10 or 11, climb for a few hours or until my arms fall off. Doug Quote
Off_White Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 FYI ya'll, Doug's a good egg, one of the Tenino quarry climbing regulars. Hey Doug, if you don't get any takers, I know Chris, Joe, & Craig are coming out here Thursday afternoon and there are at least a couple routes that will be dry, so keep that in mind as a backup. catbirdseat Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I might be up for Thursday. Let me see what I can get done today. Quote
miladugga Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 CBS- Cool, let me know. Off- Thanks for the bump, if nothing materializes up I'll definitely head out, I didn't think it would be dry yet but I miss the weekly thrashings... Quote
catbirdseat Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I can't make it on Thursday, but I can give you some info on current conditions. We went to Deception and found that all the really steep routes like Just Desserts and Won't get fooled again were wet. All the 5.9's in the We Did Rock area were dry enough. There is a new 5.10 minus route to the right of Blockhead, that you might like to try. It's one of Lucky's. Quote
miladugga Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 Really nice day out there yesterday, lots of places were still wet but we found a few dry (dry enough) pitches at Motherland and Slabbage Patch at the Far Side. A nice 10b, 10a, and lots of 9s. In the sun all day, too! Quote
