high_on_rock Posted March 7, 2007 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Erden Eruc is an extreme traveler, on target for a human powered circumnavigation of the globe. His task includes climbing the highest summits on six different continents along the way as a tribute to a fallen friend. In 2003, he bicycled roundtrip to Denali from Seattle, walked into the base camp with his friends, and reached the first summit in the Six Summits Project. Between Jan 29 and May 5, 2006, Erden rowed solo across the Atlantic Ocean. He is now preparing to row solo across the Pacific from San Francisco to reach Kosciuszko in Australia. Erden will be presenting his amazing journey at Gonzaga University in Spokane, in the Globe Room of Cataldo Hall, Tuesday March 20, at 7 p.m. This is a joint event between the Spokane Mountaineers, Gonzaga University, with help from Mt.Gear.
