dkemp
Announcing the Bushwhacker Climbing Club fundraising initiative for 2007. In 2005, we participated in the effort to raise money to help protect the Sam Hill crag in Icicle Canyon. This time we are out to help Olympic Mountain Rescue replace their aging rescue truck. What better way than to have a party? Mark your calendar for Saturday night April 7. Olympic Mountain Rescue specializes in high angle rescue work and promotes back country safety. Plus they authored the Climbers Guide to the Olympic Mountains. These people do great work, so we are stepping up to help them achieve their goal of purchasing a new rescue rig. The plan is to have a potluck / homebrew fundraiser. Bring a dish to share, whether you make it yourself or buy from the deli case doesn't matter. There will be homebrewed ale on tap for your enjoyment. Your donation will enter you in a raffle, in which the lucky winners will take home bottles of homebrew. Also, there will be an old fashioned bake sale. OMR officials will be on-hand to give a short presentation on their work and the new truck. The location will be in Seattle. To find out more about location, please email us at information@bushwhackerclimbingclub.org. We are asking for $20 or more donation. You may bring cash, or you may bring a check made out to Olympic Mountain Rescue. Or visit the OMR website and donate via PayPal. Then just bring your printed receipt to get in the door.
