Zoran Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 The first ascent of Chomo Lhari’s 6,000-foot Northwest Pillar by Slovenians Boris Lorencic and Marko Prezelj won the 16th Piolet d’Or. In this particular climb Marko led all the pitches. (Dru mentioned previously about some of the MP's climbs with Steve House when he led the hardest ones). Quote
Julian Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Marko Prezelj is probably the best living and active all-around climber in the world, particularly since the death of Jean-Christophe Lafaille last year. Big mountain alpine, big wall, fast technical alpine, hard sport and mixed, this guy can do anything. Quote
Hendershot Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Here is a link to the TR. http://www.grivelnorthamerica.com/headlines.php?id=43 An outstanding accomplishment by Marko & Boris. I am looking forward to reading more about it maybe in 6 months Alpinist will have a feature. Quote
