climbaround Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 I didn't realize until a ski tour up there yesterday that the large bridge on the trail to Big Four got washed out in the November floods. It would be easy to cross the river just above or below the bridge with knee high wading boots, or brave the cold in sandals. Snow was a bit deep, and the crust was breakable in many places, so the face is not in condition this week. Big Four 1/14/07: Washed out bridge: Quote
cfire Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I probably saw you on the road with the other 100+ people out there yesterday. I was the one with the 3 boys with me. I scoped the route as well. A lot of fresh snow, but if it warms a little this weekend it could be good early next week. I was thinking the sandals were the way to go to cross the river. Cold but quick. Quote
