phoenix Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I'm having rotten luck finding a pair of women's ice climbing boots to buy, and the MEC rental mountaineering boots suck. Does anyone know of some stores in Vancouver, Seattle, or somewhere in between were I can find women's boots that can take an ice climbing crampon? Thanks for your help. Quote
G-spotter Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Try a men's boot but not the rentals. Quote
TrickyD Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 My fiance bought some womens plastic scarpa boots at Coast Mountain Sports in Langley, last time i saw them they were on the sale rack for a good price. Quote
featheredfriends Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Feathered Friends (Seattle) stocks the La Sportiva women's Nepal Evo GTX. A couple women here on staff use these boots for ice/mountaineering and love them. They ain't cheap, but they are like a pair of jeans- if they fit well they are worth it. These boots work with every type of crampon made, they are light, and they are insulated. Come on down and check them out. Link to Nepal Evo on Sportiva's web site Quote
Ade Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I have the mens version of this boot. Don't be put off by the price. If it fits your foot it'll be worth it. It's the best full weight mountaineering and ice climbing boot I've used. Ade Quote
