PaulO Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 (edited) Climb: Just a walk-PCT BB Lake to Jeff Park Date of Climb: 10/21/2006 Trip Report: Quite possibly the best late season hike in Oregon!?! The Highway in is as good of a road as ever! But my '91 Nissan w/ low hanging pipes made it fine! Approach Notes: Just enough snow to smooth the rocks up high... gapertimmy Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 wow, great shots! we did the stroll up to Canyon Creek Meadows and had an equally great show (and nobody around) but my dumbass forgot to put fresh batteries in the camera. Quote
gslater Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Spent a few solo days hanging out in Jeff Park in mid-October a few years ago. Sunny, crystal clear, dry, cold at night, a few patches of early snow on the ground and on Jeff, great color, and a grand total of only one other person seen over the whole weekend. Excellent. And gorgeous. Quote
PaulO Posted October 25, 2006 Author Posted October 25, 2006 It is a pretty place any time of year but especially fall. The only people I saw were a couple heading over the top of the ridge to do the same thing (camp) that asked directions. It looks like this weekend would be a repeat, doubt enough snow fell yesterday to cause any problem. Quote
