Mark_Husbands Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I've had the best fit from 5.10s (and I love that rubber), but I'm sick of the delamination and overall low quality coupled with high prices (this has been my experience, anyway). Anyone recommend a good crack and long route shoe for wider feet that doesn't fall apart? Quote
NYC007 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 montrail index, the forefoot is made wider then most shoes. give em a try. Quote
Farrgo Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 My buddy's love the Newton, but yep, they fall apart. I've given up on five ten also. Its gotten to the point that I can't even break in a pair of there shoes before they disintegrate. What about something like the La Sportiva Focus, I've heard lots of good things about that shoe. mattp Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I too have been unhappy with the "lifetime" of my five ten shoes although I used to buy them exclusively for the rubber. Â Lately I have found a good fit with some Sportiva's, and I have wide EE feet though my heels are relatively narrow. But my most recent pair of Sportiva's has stretched and softened up distrubingly fast and I am not convinced they are necessarily going to last longer (though it was a "cheaper" model that I cannot remember the name of). Â My old Kaukulators are pretty good, though. Quote
catbirdseat Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Matt's shoes fit so well, he can wear them on either foot. Quote
archenemy Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Remember that you can resole your favorite shoe with 5.10 rubber. Quote
