Big_Sky_Ry Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 We're heading into Flapjack lakes in early April as a base for some spring climbing in the Sawtooth ridge area. Anyone been to Flapjack this spring? Or, have an idea about camping conditions (amount of snow, surface water availability). Can anyone speculate on what snow and rock climbing conditions might be in the Sawtooths this time of year? I realize it's not an ideal locale for picking elegant climbing opportunities but this is primarily a training and gear testing/review trip. Thanks,RyanJ [ 03-23-2002: Message edited by: Big Sky Ry ] Quote
dkemp Posted March 25, 2002 Posted March 25, 2002 Went to Staircase this weekend - this probably doesnt help you a lot but for what its worth - http://www.wta.org/~wta/cgi-bin/web10.pl?FreshReports+tr+df+20020324-6978193+time+trails+ BTW, I think going to flapjack lakes would be a fine conditioner. I also wish to go to Black & White Lakes and, since I enjoy having an actual destination, perhaps snowshoe climb Mt Gladys. Have fun,-Dox Quote
