Roscoe_M Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 On saturday we are going to climb some routes on the west side of the Liberty Bell group and are planning to camp up there some where. Sunday we want to climb the east butt. I was wondering if anyone has approached this climb from the blue lake side and how is it. Maybe we would be better off just hiking out, car camping, and making the standard approach from the hairpin on Sun. morn. What do you think? Quote
Sol Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 just do the standard approach, its not bad at all. Quote
daler Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 The nice thing about doing the approach via the Blue lake side is you can leave most of your kit (big pack, extra water etc...) at the base of your descent line and then just grap it and go- i have done it a couple of times this way and it works great- Pretty much as fast as from the hairpin but saves alot of time at the end of the day- Cheers-- Quote
