WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Fastest drive to Rainier from Tacoma???

Recommended Posts

Moved to T-town a few months back. Looking for the best (fastest) way to get to the mountain from N. Tacoma. Both Paradise and Sunrise directions. Any help?

Paradise, take Pacific Ave. South wayyyyy south. past spanaway, etc.. it becomes Hwy. 7, and if you follow this, will take you to the Nisqually Park Entrance.

For Sunrise etc from the north end, take 705 to I5 North, get off at the Puyallup/River Road exit 135 and follow River Road east to the end. Take a left, over the bridge, then the right onto 167. follow this, taking the exit to 410. follow 410 east bound all the way over to the NE of MRNP. there really aren't any shortcuts.. hope this helps!
