Matt_Anderson Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 QUESTION: Any info on how snow covered the upper enchantements are right now? REASON: Heading up to prusik tomorrow over asgard. I'm deciding what shoes to bring. It's either running shoes (my preference) or some hiking boots(don't want to carry them up the south face, don't want to walk back to my boots in climbing shoes). The only reason that I would bring the boots is due to a lot of snow. Quote

ericb Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Did the west ridge Saturday, approach in shoes...also walked back to balanced rock in rock shoes...its not very far....I know the start of the south route is a bit farther though. Quote
