8 Mile Road

I talked with the rangers on saturday about Eight Mile road and they said it will not close this year as planned. Due to the high costs of the fires in Colorado and Arizona the Nation forest has pulled many projects this year to pay for it. One of those is the eight mile road repairs.

 

Now I just need to plan a weekend for Serpentine ridge.

If you do serpentine you should start uphill of where the route description says to start. There are some fun pitches, maybe three, I think the hardest move may have been 5.8, anyhow, it adds some fun pitches to a route that otherwise goes mostly with simul-climbing.
