welliott Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 I've read the earlier post re: the BD Firstlight and wind; I wondered if anyone had thoughts on using the wider, taller BD Lighthouse on Rainier in say... March? Those guyouts halfway up the sides look like they could rip out over time. Anybody tried running guylines over the top of the entire tent, in addition to the guyout points? WILL Quote

I've been at Camp Muir in a 8 hour, gale force whiteout and seen much lesser tents do very well. I've personally made a practice of building snow walls (wind breaks) immediatly upon setting up my tent at camp. Guy it out regardless of the weather too. Quote
